Strategic Equity Capital plc ("the Company") was informed on 31 March 2014 that
Stuart Widdowson, Strategic Fund Manager at GVO Investment Management Limited,
the Investment Manager of the Company, and persons connected to Mr Widdowson,
had on 28 March 2014 purchased an aggregate of 76,100 Ordinary 10 pence shares
of the Company at a price of 157.5 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Stuart Widdowson and connected persons are
interested in a total of 516,100 Ordinary 10 pence shares (representing 0.87%
of the shares in issue), as follows:

Stuart Widdowson - 368,500 shares (of which 313,900 are held in a SIPP)

Anna Widdowson - 142,000 shares (of which 13,000 are held in a SIPP)

Nicholas Widdowson - 2,800 shares

Patrick Widdowson - 2,800 shares
