Appointment of new Director and Chairman designate

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Hills as a
non-executive Director and Chairman designate of the Company with effect from 5
March 2014. Mr Hills will take up the Chairmanship at the planned September
meeting.

Mr Hills has substantial investment trust board experience and is currently on
the boards of two investment trusts: JP Morgan Income & Capital plc and
Henderson Global Trust plc. He chairs the Aztec Group Ltd which is one of the
largest Channel Islands private equity fund administrators, and is on the board
of Cinven Ltd, a major European private equity house. He is also on the boards
of 3Legs Resources plc and Phaunos Timber Fund Limited.

Mr Hills holds no other publicly quoted directorships. Publicly quoted
directorships held by Mr Hills within the last five years are as follows:

Mr Hills has a beneficial interest in 30,000 ordinary shares in the Company via
a SIPP, representing 0.05% of the total shares in circulation.

There are no other details or disclosures required under LR 9.6.13R of the
Financial Conduct Authority Listing Rules.

John Hodson, Chairman, commented, "We are delighted that Richard Hills is
joining us and look forward to his contribution to the successful development
of the Company".

After completing over nine years of service, Mr Hodson does not intend to stand
for re-election and therefore intends to retire at the next Annual General
Meeting of the Company.
