Transaction in Own Shares

Strategic Equity Capital Plc

The Company announces that it purchased on 18 April 2008 22,500 Ordinary 1p
shares for treasury at a price of 68.48p per share.

Following this transaction the number of Ordinary shares in issue remains
72,626,000, of which 807,500 are now held in treasury.

The number of Ordinary shares for the purpose of total voting rights is
71,818,500.
