                    Extraordinary general meeting statement                    

At the extraordinary general meeting of Surface Transforms to be held at 12
noon today the Chairman will make the following statement:

"I would like to provide the shareholders of the Company with an update of
trading during the first two months of the 2007/2008 financial year. Both
turnover and operating margins have exceeded budgeted expectations and the
Company's order bank as of 22 August 2007, defined as received orders scheduled
for delivery prior to 31 May 2008, was £211,000 (31 May 2007: £126,000)."
