United Utilities wins contract with Southern Water

United Utilities Group PLC 30 June 2009 UNITED UTILITIES WINS NEW CAPITAL DELIVERY CONTRACT WITH SOUTHERN WATER United Utilities announces that the 4D consortium, in which it has a 40 per cent share, has won a new capital delivery contract with Southern Water to manage the design and build of a new wastewater treatment works in the Brighton and Hove area. The £225 million contract will begin with immediate effect. The construction phase is expected to take approximately three years, followed by the potential for a two year contract to operate and maintain the new plant.
