John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group") announces the following Board changes:
Trevor Noble will retire from his position as Chief Executive of Wood Group's
Engineering activities within its Engineering & Production Facilities Division
("E&PF") and will retire from the Group Board on 30 April 2007.

He will be replaced in this role by Mike Straughen, who will join the Group
Board from 1 May 2007. Mike recently left AMEC PLC where he was latterly Group
Managing Director responsible for UK activities across all sectors, as well as
global oil and gas. Mike spent 25 years with AMEC and played a significant role
in the growth of their oil and gas activities.

Commenting on the change, Chairman, Sir Ian Wood, said, "The Board is very
grateful to Trevor Noble for his valuable contribution to the successful growth
of our world-leading international engineering business over the last three
years. We wish him well in his retirement."
