John Wood Group PLC ("Company")

At the Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the Company held on 18 May 2006, Ewan
Brown, having served for 23 years, retired as a non-executive director and did
not seek re-election. The Board would like to record its appreciation for
Ewan's long, dedicated and effective service, and wishes him well in his
retirement.

Also at the AGM, it was announced that Ian Derek Marchant would be appointed as
an additional non-executive director with effect from 19 May 2006.

Ian Marchant is Chief Executive of Scottish and Southern Energy plc, is
Chairman of the United Kingdom Business Council for Sustainable Energy and a
member of the Forum for Renewable Energy Development in Scotland. He is also a
member of Ofgem's Environmental Advisory Group and the Energy Research
Partnership.
