John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group") confirms appointment to lead HSE initiatives
(LR 9.6.11)

Wood Group, the international energy services company, confirms the appointment
of Les Thomas as Group Director responsible for the Group's efforts to drive
continuous improvement in relation to Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE)
around the world. 

Reflecting the importance Wood Group places on health, safety and the
environment, the Group is delighted to confirm that Les Thomas assumes the role
of Group Director responsible for HSE on a full time basis and with immediate
effect, reporting to Group Chief Executive, Allister Langlands.  Les was
previously Deputy Chief Executive of Wood Group PSN and has been a Group
Director since 2004. 

Allister Langlands, Group Chief Executive said "The Group has made significant
progress in developing its core competencies in HSE and this appointment
reflects our commitment to further enhancing our performance in this area".
