North Sea contract success continues for WGPSN
Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) has extended one of its longest running projects in the North Sea under
a $60 USD million (£40million GBP) one year contract extension with ConocoPhillips (UK) Limited.
WGPSN will continue to provide operations and maintenance services, and facilities modifications
services to ConocoPhillip's 50 offshore assets in the Southern and Central North Sea and the
onshore Theddlethrope gas terminal in Lincolnshire. Effective immediately, the contract will be
supported by 150 onshore and 280 offshore people in the UK.
This is one of WGPSN's longest running and most complex projects, spread across 50 manned and
unmanned facilities in the North Sea. ConocoPhillips first awarded WGPSN the contract in 1992.
Dave Stewart, UK managing director for WGPSN said: "We are proud to have worked with
ConocoPhillips (UK) Limited for more than 20 years and continue this long-term relationship.
The ConocoPhillips project is a key contract in our UK portfolio and we are pleased to receive
this extension and further enhance our reputation with a major international company."
This award follows a string of North Sea contract extensions chalked up by WGPSN in 2013 from
CNR, TOTAL E&P UK, Teekey and Ithaca Energy. Most recently WGPSN announced our first life of
field contract Ithaca Energy which will see WGPSN operate and deliver managed services to the
Beatrice offshore platforms and Nigg onshore terminal until the end of their operating life.
In the UK, Wood Group now employs more than 11,000 people working onshore and offshore.
