The Board of Worldwide Healthcare Trust PLC is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mrs Sarah Bates as an independent non-executive Director of the
Company, with effect from 22 May 2013.

Mrs Bates brings a wealth of experience to the Board. She is a former Chairman
of the Association of Investment Companies and is currently non-executive
Chairman of JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc and a non-executive Director
of New India Investment Trust PLC, Polar Capital Technology Trust plc, St
James's Place plc, Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc and Development
Securities plc. She is also Chairman of the Stena (UK) pension fund, Rutley
Russia Property Fund Limited, a member of the Investment Committee of the Daily
Mail and General Trust Pension Funds and an adviser to East Riding Pension
Fund; in addition, she is Chairman of, or a member of, a number of chairitable
investment committees and Chairman of the Kings Corner Project.

Mrs Bates' appointment will be proposed to shareholders for ratification at the
Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held on 17 July 2013.

Mrs Bates currently holds 7,200 ordinary shares in the Company representing
0.02% of the issued share capital.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R(2)
to (6).
