Application is being made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for the block listing, and admission to trading, of 200,000 unissued
shares of 50p each in the capital of 3i Group plc.

The block listing will be used for the future allotment of fully paid shares
under the following employee share plan: 
The 3i Group All Employee Share Plan.
