Application is being made to the UK Listing Authority and The London Stock
Exchange for the blocklisting and admission to trading of 300,000 unissued
shares of 50p each in the capital of 3i Group plc.

The blocklisting will be used for the future allotment of fully paid shares
under The 3i Group Discretionary Share Plan.
