Pursuant to the rules of the 3i Group 1994 Executive Share Option Plan, on 22 July 2008 the Company was notified that on 22 July 2008 the following individual, being a person discharging managerial responsibilities ('PDMR') of 3i Group plc (the 'Company'): i) exercised options to acquire ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ('Shares') as detailed below; and ii) sold Shares as detailed below:
