Pursuant to the rules of The Group Discretionary Share Plan, on 12 November 2007
the following individual, being a person discharging managerial responsibilities
('PDMR') of 3i Group plc (the 'Company') was granted the right (the 'Option') to
acquire the number of ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each ('Shares') of the
Company detailed against his name below subject to a performance condition. The
Option is exercisable from and including 12 November 2010 at a price of 1013.50
per Share and shall lapse on 11 November 2017.  The consideration for the grant
was nil.
