On 31 August 2008, 3i Group plc (the 'Company') was notified that on 30 August 2008 Mr M J Queen, a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities ('PDMR') of the Company, had received confirmation that 100,000 of his Ordinary Shares in the Company were transferred to his wife (J M Queen) at nil consideration on 22 August 2008. This was an off market transaction which took place in the UK.
