On 17 December 2008, 3i Group plc (the 'Company') was notified that on 16 December 2008  Baroness Hogg, Chairman of the Board (and a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities), purchased 2,000 ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ('Shares') at a price of 236.75p per Share.  The transaction took place on the London Stock Exchange.
