On 25 June 2008, 3i Group plc (the 'Company') was notified that on 25 June 2008 P E Yea, a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities, transferred 5,204 ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ('Shares') into his Personal Pension Plan. This transfer was effected by means of a sale of 5,204 Shares held by a nominee on behalf of Mr Yea, at a price of 843.315p per Share, and a purchase of 5,204 Shares on Mr Yea's behalf by his Personal Pension Plan, at a price of 844.5p per Share. The transactions took place on the London Stock Exchange.
