On 8 January 2009 the Directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities ('PDMRs') of 3i Group plc (the 'Company') listed below acquired interests in the ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ('Shares') as detailed below at a price of £3.595 per Share. These interests were acquired through the re-investment of the Company's interim dividend paid on 7 January 2009 on Shares which were the subject of share awards held under the rules of The 3i Group Discretionary Share Plan.
