On 19 July 2010, 3i Group plc (the "Company") was notified that on 16 July 2010 Sir Adrian Montague, the Chairman of the Board (and a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities) acquired 10,000 ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ("Shares") at 279.2p per Share.

The transaction took place on the London Stock Exchange.
