On 26 July 2010 3i Group plc (the "Company") was notified that on 19 July 2010 Sir Adrian Montague, the Chairman of the Board (and a Director and person discharging managerial responsibilities), acquired 36 ordinary shares of 7319/22p each in the Company ("Shares") at a price of 276.2p per Share.  These Shares were acquired under the Company's Dividend Reinvestment Plan following payment of the Company's final dividend on 16 July 2010.

The place of this transaction was the London Stock Exchange.
