On 6 September 2007 the Directors and persons discharging managerial
responsibilities ('PDMRs') of 3i Group plc (the 'Company') listed below acquired
interests in the ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ('Shares') as
detailed below at a price of £10.29 per Share.  These interests were acquired
through the re-investment of the Company's final dividend paid on 20 July 2007
on Shares which were the subject of share awards held under the rules of The 3i
Group Discretionary Share Plan.
