On 25 September 2007, 3i Group plc (the 'Company') was notified that on 25
September 2007 D R Collis, a person discharging managerial responsibilities,
acquired 211 ordinary shares of 73 19/22p each in the Company ('Shares') at a
price of £9.786469 per Share. This interest was acquired through the
re-investment of the Company's final dividend paid on 20 July 2007 on Shares
which were the subject of a share award held under the rules of The 3i Group
Discretionary Share Plan.


The place of this transaction was the London Stock Exchange.
