3i Group plc announces that on 10 January 2005 it was notified by Mr P E Yea, a
Director, that on 6 January 2005 he became interested in a further 122 Ordinary
Shares of 50p in the capital of the Company. The shares were purchased through
reinvestment schemes at a price of £6.6976 each.
