Further to the announcement made on 10 May 2007 that Mr F.D. Rosenkranz would
retire from the Board of 3i Group plc (the 'Company') at the Company's Annual
General Meeting convened for 11 July 2007 (the 'AGM'), this announcement is to
confirm that Mr Rosenkranz retired as a Director of the Company with effect from
the close of the AGM held on 11 July 2007.
