Further to the announcement made on 11 May 2006 that Dr Peter Mihatsch would be
stepping off the Board of 3i Group plc (the 'Company') at the end of July 2006,
Dr Mihatsch resigned as a Director of the Company with effect from the close of
business on 31 July 2006.
