Interim results for the six months to 30 September 2005

3i Group plc announced its interim results for the six months to 30 September
2005 this morning.

Note 2 to that announcement, following the 'Basis of preparation' section,
should read:

'The interim dividend will be payable on 4 January 2006 to holders of shares on
the register on 2 December 2005. The ex-dividend date will be 30 November 2005'.
