3i Group plc: Timetable for final results in respect of the year ended 31 March
2003.



The Meeting of the Committee of the Board of 3i Group plc at which the results
for the year to 31 March 2003 are due to be approved, and the final dividend
recommended, has been convened for the afternoon of Wednesday 14 May 2003.  The
preliminary announcement of the results will be released by notification to the
London Stock Exchange before 8.00am on THURSDAY 15 MAY 2003.



The expected financial calendar is as follows:

Post accounts to shareholders          Friday, 30 May 2003

Final dividend record date             Friday, 20 June 2003

Final dividend payment date            Friday, 18 July 2002.
