3i Group plc: Timetable for financial results in respect of the year ended 31
March 2006



The Meeting of the Committee of the Board of 3i Group plc at which the results
for the year to 31 March 2006 are due to be approved, and the final dividend by
recommended, has been convened for the afternoon of Wednesday 10 May 2006. The
preliminary announcement of the results will be released by notification to the
London Stock Exchange before 8.00 am on Thursday 11 May 2006.



The expected financial calendar is as follows:

Post accounts to shareholders                   Friday, 26 May 2006

Final dividend record date                      Friday, 23 June 2006

Final dividend payment date                     Friday, 21 July 2006
