4imprint announces resignation of CEO Dick Nelson
and appointment of Craig Slater as COO
4imprint Group plc, the leading global distributor of imprinted promotional
products, announces that Dick Nelson has today resigned as CEO and executive
director of the Company to pursue other opportunities. The Board has initiated
a search for a suitable successor and expects to be able to provide an update as
part of the preliminary results announcement in March.
Craig Slater, Group Finance Director of 4imprint, will become Chief Operating
Officer, a role that will involve responsibility for European and US operations,
and will temporarily retain his existing duties. Craig has worked closely with
the rest of the Board on a strategic review of 4imprint's activities following
the board changes in October 2003. Kevin Lyons-Tarr will continue to lead the
US Direct Marketing and Corporate Programmes channels in their further
development.
Craig Slater said: 'The Board has made excellent progress in its strategic
review of 4imprint in order to deliver meaningful returns in 2004 in the
European and US businesses, as well as positioning it for an effective future
growth strategy. This strategy is expected to deliver a rapid improvement in
shareholder value and a stable platform for new growth.'
Edward Bramson, Non-Executive Chairman, expressed his appreciation for Dick's
development of 4imprint: 'We have reached a natural transition point in the
management of the business. I would like to express the Board's thanks for
Dick's significant role in building 4imprint into a world-leader in the
provision of corporate-branded promotional goods.'
