Board appointment
4imprint Group plc, the marketing support services and promotional products
group, today announces the appointment of Ken Minton CBE to its Board, as a
non-executive director. He will serve as the senior independent director.
Ken Minton, has spent the last 40 years managing change at some of the largest
and best known British companies having served on the board of several FTSE250
companies. He spent 30 years at Laporte PLC culminating in ten years as Chief
Executive where he led the growth of the company through acquisition and
corporate expansion. Ken has also served on the boards of John Mowlem PLC, SGB
Group PLC, Inveresk PLC and Arjo Wiggins Appleton PLC, the latter two as
Chairman. He is currently a non-executive director of Tomkins PLC as well as
Solvay SA, the Belgian multinational chemicals and pharmaceuticals group.
Commenting on the appointment, Edward Bramson, Chairman of 4imprint Group plc,
said, 'Ken has a highly successful record of managing controlled acquisitive
growth, most notably as Chief Executive at Laporte which was built from a small
base to a £1 billion turnover international chemicals business. Ken's experience
will complement that of the rest of the Board as well as the sales and marketing
focus we expect of the new chief executive. We expect Ken to make a major
contribution to 4imprint's growth plans for the years ahead.'
