                               Board Appointment


The 600 Group PLC announces that Andrew Dick will be joining the Board as Group
Managing Director on 18 April 2005.  For an initial period he will shadow the
current Group Chief Executive, Tony Sweeten, with a view to succeeding him at
the appropriate time.


Andrew is aged 49 and is a graduate of London University.


His most recent position was as Chief Executive of Yorkshire Group PLC and prior
to that he held several positions in general management, logistics and marketing
with Dynacast International Limited, Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group
and Massey Ferguson Group.


Yorkshire Group PLC went into receivership in October 2004.


Pursuant to paragraph 6.F.2 (b) - (g) of the UKLA Listing Rules there are no
