The 600 Group PLC has been notified on 21 July 2000 pursuant to Section 198 of
the Companies Act 1985 that Phillips & Drew Life Limited has an interest in
4,989,190 ordinary 25p shares in The 600 Group PLC which represents 8.90% of the
issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
