ABB sets new issue spread for exchange offers
Zurich, Switzerland, May 23, 2006 - The spread on ABB's new 7-year
Euro-denominated bonds due in 2013 has been set at 75 basis points above the
annual 7-year Euro mid-swap rate. As announced on May 16, 2006, the new
fixed-rate bonds are to be issued in exchange for ABB's outstanding €500-million
9.5-percent bonds due in 2008 and £200-million 10-percent bonds due in 2009.
The offer period ends at 5 p.m. CET on May 30, 2006. Further details on the

Barclays Bank PLC, Citigroup Global Markets Limited and Credit Suisse Securities
(Europe) Limited are acting as Dealer Managers of the offer. Acting as Co-Dealer
