Conversion of CULS

Application is being made by Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange Plc for a total of 2,210 Ordinary shares of 25p each ("Ordinary Shares") to be admitted to the Official List, and dealings are expected to commence on or around 13 June 2014. The new Ordinary Shares will rank, pari passu, with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company.

The listing application has been made following the conversion of 18,397 units of Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2019 ("CULS") in the period to 31 May 2014.

Following this issue, the Company's issued Ordinary share capital will consist of 38,096,807 Ordinary shares and 1,076,290 Treasury shares and there will be 33,077,121 units of CULS outstanding. 

Following the commencement of dealings on or around 13 June 2014, the above figure (38,096,807) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
