Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC ("the Company")

Conversion of Warrants

The Company announces the issue on 14 December 2009 of 442,698 Ordinary shares following the exercise of 442,698 Warrants to Subscribe for Ordinary shares in the period to 30 November 2009.

The issued share capital is now as follows:

31,573,686 Issued Ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares) 

1,749,221 Ordinary shares held in treasury

33,322,905 Issued Ordinary shares (including treasury shares) 

3,823,595 Warrants to Subscribe for Ordinary shares
