Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC

The Company confirms that following the recent conversion of 18,397 units of Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2019 ("CULS") in the period to 31 May 2014, 2,210 Ordinary shares of 25p each ("Ordinary Shares") have been admitted to the Official List and dealings in the new shares have commenced today.

Following this issue, the Company's Ordinary share capital consists of 39,173,097 Ordinary shares of which 1,076,290 are Treasury shares and therefore there are 38,096,807 Ordinary shares in issue with 33,077,121 units of CULS outstanding.

38,096,807 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
