ABERDEEN ASIAN SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC - SHARE BUY-BACK

On 5 August 2015, Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC purchased in the market 15,000 Ordinary shares at 780.5833 pence per share. These shares will be held in treasury.

As a result of the above transaction the Ordinary shares in issue, shares held in treasury, and the Total Voting Rights of the Company are now as follows:

Number of Ordinary Shares in issue (inc. treasury)                             39,177,180

Number of Ordinary Shares held in treasury                                         1,233,290

Total Voting Rights attaching to Ordinary Shares in issue                    37,943,890
