Transaction in Own Shares

EDINBURGH UK TRACKER TRUST PLC


On  21  June  2004, Edinburgh UK Tracker Trust plc bought back 350,000  ordinary
shares for cancellation at a price of 186.5p per share.  Following the buy back,
there  are  60,556,430  ordinary shares in issue.  The share  buy-back  will  be
financed out of the capital reserve.
