Declaration of First Interim Dividend

The Directors of the Company have today declared a first interim dividend in respect of the year ending 31 December 2020 of 2.25p per Ordinary share of No Par Value (first interim for 2019: 2.25p).  The first interim dividend will be payable on 22 May 2020 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 24 April 2020, ex-dividend date 23 April 2020.

In light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the level of the remaining three dividends for 2020 will be considered at each quarter end, at which point an announcement will be made by the Company.  There are healthy revenue reserves built up over the past decade that the Board will consider using as appropriate. Any decision as to whether this will be utilised (and by how much) will be taken at the time of each dividend declaration.

The Company operates a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) which is managed by the registrar, Link Asset Services, and the deadline for elections under the DRIP will be 1 May 2020.
