ABERDEEN STANDARD EQUITY INCOME TRUST PLC

DECLARATION OF QUARTERLY DIVIDENDS

The Board announces that a dividend of 4.9 pence per Ordinary Share will be payable to Shareholders on 15 March 2019.  The dividend is payable to Shareholders on the register on 22 February 2019. 

In addition to the above, the Board's intention is that the second and third quarterly dividends will also each be 4.9 pence per Ordinary Share, payable in June and September respectively, and that the final dividend in January 2020, will be at least 5.5 pence per share.

Cumulatively, this is an increase from 19.2 pence in 2018, to a minimum of 20.2 pence for 2019, representing an uplift in the dividend for the year of 5.2% which the Board expects will be fully covered by current year earnings. The dividend increase will be the nineteenth consecutive annual dividend increase.

The proposed 2019 dividend timetable is as follows:-
