STANDARD LIFE EQUITY INCOME TRUST PLC

DECLARATION OF THIRD QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

The Directors are pleased to announce that a dividend of 4.9 pence per Ordinary Share will be paid on 28 September 2018, to Shareholders on the register as at close of business on 7 September 2018.  The associated ex-dividend date is 6 September 2018. This third quarterly dividend is 0.5 pence higher than was indicated by the Board in its announcement on 12 February 2018. It now expects that the full year dividend will be at least 19.2 pence, which will represent an increase of 12.3% on the dividend payment in the previous year. The Board expects that this dividend will be fully covered by current year earnings.
