Renewal of Loan Facility

abrdn Equity Income Trust PLC ("the Company") announces that it has renewed its £30 million revolving credit facility (the "Facility") with the Royal Bank of Scotland International Limited (the "Lender") for three years.

£25m of the Facility was drawn down on 23 June 2023 and the proceeds used to repay the amount outstanding under the expiring facility in full.  

The remainder of the £30m Facility will remain available to the Company to utilise in the future for investment purposes.

Under the terms of the Facility, the Company also has the option to increase the level of the commitment from £30 million to £40 million at any time, subject to the Lender's credit approval.

The new facility will expire on 23 June 2026.
