Deutsche Equity Income Trust PLC
Annual General Meeting
The Board of Deutsche Equity Income Trust PLC announces that at the Annual
General Meeting held on Friday, 14 December 2001 all resolutions were passed
by a substantial majority.
The Special Business at the Annual General Meeting approved by shareholders
was (i) the authority for the Directors to allot securities up to an aggregate
nominal amount of £2,800,000 (ii) disapplication of pre-emption rights (iii)
the authority for the Company to make market purchases for up to 5,960,459
ordinary shares and (iv) the resolution that the Company continue as an
investment trust subject to review by shareholders at the Annual General
Meeting in five years time.
