Standard Life Equity Income Trust plc (the "Company")

Total Voting Rights  

In accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of Ordinary shares of 25p of the Company in issue as at 30 November 2015 is 43,026,691 with each ordinary share holding one voting right.  As at 30 November 2015, there are no Ordinary shares held in treasury.

The figure of 43,026,691 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in voting rights, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

There are also 5,197,076 Subscription shares of 0.01pence, with no voting rights, in issue as at the same date.
