ABERDEEN Japan investment trust plc

ISSUE OF EQUITY

On 27 July 2015 the Company issued 80,000 new Ordinary shares of 10p each for cash at a price of 554.0 pence per share.

The new shares rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary shares. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued Ordinary share capital consists of 15,721,572, Ordinary shares, none of which are held in treasury.  Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 15,721,572.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
