Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Aberdeen Latin American Income Fund Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather MacCallum as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 24 April 2019. Heather MacCallum was appointed after a search conducted by an independent recruitment consultancy.

Richard Prosser, Chairman of the Company, said: "The Directors are delighted to appoint Heather to the Board.

Heather is a chartered accountant and was a partner of KPMG, Channel Islands, from 2001 until retiring from the partnership in 2016.  She was a member of KPMG's financial services practice in the Channel Islands for 20 years. 

She is also a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee of Jersey Water and Blackstone / GSO Loan Financing Limited and is a non-executive director of Kedge Capital Fund Management Limited."

Heather MacCallum will stand for election as a Director at the Annual General Meeting to be held on or around 11 December 2019.

There are no disclosures required to be made for Ms MacCallum in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.

Ms MacCallum does not hold any interests in any of the Company's shares.
