Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Souchon as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 October 2019. 

Stephen Souchon is a Chartered Accountant and currently a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee of SMBC Nikko Capital Markets Limited. He had an executive career at Morgan Stanley until 2015 where he was latterly Head of the EMEA Corporate Financial Control Group. He was a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Morgan Stanley's Swiss Bank during which time he oversaw the development of the Swiss wealth management business within Asia. He was also the Audit Committee Chair of Morgan Stanley's Spanish wealth management subsidiary and its Russian bank and broker dealer.

There are no further disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in relation to this appointment.
