ABERDEEN NEW DAWN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the 'Company')

The Company announces that it has drawn down a further HKD 25,300,000 under its three-year £20,000,000 multi-currency loan facility (the 'Facility') with the Royal Bank of Scotland plc.  A total of HKD 175,400,000 (equivalent to approximately £12.2 million) has now been drawn under the Facility.  

Borrowings now represent 9.4% of net assets, based upon the net asset value per Ordinary share of 520.03p as at close on 22 September 2008.
