The Board of Deutsche Latin American Companies Trust PLC wishes to announce that
the individual responsible for the management of the portfolio of the Trust will
from 1 July be Tara Kenney from the Boston office of Deutsche Asset Management
(DeAM), following the acquisition of Zurich Scudder Investments by DeAM. Tara
Kenney, who has twenty years experience in the region, is a member of a team
that was one of the pioneers of Latin American equity investment with the
formation of the Brazil Fund in 1988. The team is now one of the largest
managers of Latin American assets with over $1bn under management.

Rosie Bichard, the current investment manager, is moving to other
responsibilities in DeAM; we are grateful to her for her work on our behalf
during the last two and a half years.
