The  Board of the Deutsche Latin American Companies Trust PLC announces
that  the  Company  has  yesterday purchased  for  cancellation  50,000
ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 68.0p per share.

Following  this  purchase there are now 48,211,050 ordinary  shares  in
issue.
